Anyone who buys jeans knows how hard it is to find the perfect pair. After spending hundreds and trying so many brands that I couldn't count them on both hands, I found them! I am in my late 50s and I can't tolerate the feel of skinny jeans anymore which had been my staple for the last 10+ years. I ...also lost weight so was unsure what size I was anymore. I had to purge most of them and look for something more comfortable and less....claustrophobic. So the search was on for jeans that weren't too tight, too wide, too high, too low, too loose or too long with a small boot cut. Tall, specific order, believe me I know. I am also 5' 2" & short waisted with long legs. High rise jeans make me look like my legs start under my b**bs - I look ridiculous in them. Loose fit and wide leg styles swallow me up, not my thing. When I tried on the mid-rise wow boot-cut jeans, I was just blown away. The fit me like a glove! Like they were made specifically for me. Midrise that actually hits me just below my navel, a stretch that doesn't feel like you are pulling up a wetsuit - just right, not too tight and does not get loose after wearing a few times. I cannot believe how comfortable they are and how good I feel in them. I bought a 2 reg (I am 105) and the length is just right too, with a perfect (imo) boot cut. They did not have a 0 at the store I was in, so I could not see what the fit would have been like for those. I bought 2 colors immediately and have worn them several times. They do not have bags in the knees and still fit well without looking shabby or stretched out. I have not washed them yet so I cannot attest to whether or not they will shrink, but I plan to wash them in cold and hang them to dry so that I can keep the fit. I am so happy with these jeans that I got on Old Navy a few days ago to buy more and a sale was going on (50% off YAY!) lucky me, I just wish they had them in white in my size, other than that, I could not be happier! Highly recommend.
I ordered the midrise bootcut and the high-rise flare in the same size (20 Regular Short). When I tried them on, I was extremely happy with the length of the legs. Although my inseam is typically around 30 - 31 inches, I always have issues with any sort of flared or bootcut jeans in a regular length... not flaring until well below my knees making my thighs look enormous. The 20 regular in the short length (not petite where everything is shorter including the rise) was perfect in both the bootcut and flared jeans with the jeans fitting trim to my hips and thighs to the perfect spot just at my knee cap. However, these jeans (the midrise bootcut) were not even close to being midrise. When I put them on, the legs and low hip fit perfectly, but the waist was enormous and the waistband was almost to the bottom of my ribcage - well above my belly button. These jeans actually came up higher on my torso (by about 2.5 inches) than the high-rise flare in the same size. Needless to say, the midrise bootcut jeans went back. By the way, the waist on the high-rise flare jeans did hit right at my belly button (so, they are actually not an obnoxious level of "high rise" that some jeans tend to be) and fit perfectly. I'll be ordering more of these instead.

Old Navy! These are my favorite jeans! As a short chubby girl, finding jeans that fit me both in the waist and the length is extremely difficult! This is the first pair of jeans in a while that I pulled out of the bag, slipped on, and they fit perfectly! I bought a third pair yesterday!

First, I love the fit of these. I suspect a petite would fit even better but they're not available unfortunately. The rise is just right: not too low or too high. I do wish there was more flare but these are bootcut and not flare (I'd love a flare version!). Weirdly, after I bought a pair online I tried to buy them in another color in store. They were too big and stretchy in the waist. I then bought them online and they fit just like the first pair. The only difference was short vs. regular length, so I guess beware of potential size inconsistencies.

Its always hard to find "short" style in my size. l may find 1 or 2 and then order the rest in all the different colors offered. The cashier was very helpful.
