I got my usual size (medium regular) and while I did want it to be a relaxed fit, it was very oversized, loose and very gaping in the chest and overly long so that the waist tie was closer to my hip bones than my actual waistline, but I am short with a shorter torso. The neckline was very low too li...ke the straps were too long. Basically it fit like a large tall and so was not flattering. The pit to pit was 20" and the total length was 22". For reference I am 5'2" and 150 lb with 37" bust circumference. I might reorder this top again in a small petite at some point because it is a pretty design and would be so light and breathable for summer. I liked that the straps are wider so I can wear a regular bra. I got the brown but next time I'd try the white version for the prairie aesthetic.
I had been looking for a top to go with a new maxi skirt I bought. As soon as I saw this top my heart dropped because it was exactly what I was looking for, it was so pretty I had to order it right then and there! Unfortunately as others have mentioned, the sizing is extremely odd. Old Navy has alw...ays been bad when it comes to vanity sizing but in recent years it's gotten out of control. I ordered a small and the bust area is HUGE. How many size small women have huge busts??? C'mon now. There's no way I could wear it without getting arrested for indecent exposure. I would try an extra small in petite but sadly it's out of stock. But honestly given the oversized fit I still don't know if it would be small enough. Super disappointing because the design was exactly what I was looking for and when I gathered the fabric in the back to see what it would look like with a proper fit, it was so so pretty. Alas, the search continues!
