I am on a weight loss journey and bought these shorts in early spring, planning ahead for the summer. When they arrived, I loved how soft they were and they were very comfortable. I wore them for the first time in June and loved how they looked. They fit perfectly. Unfortunately, by mid-July, they l...ooked baggy and were quite loose around the waist. I did not hesitate to order the same shorts in the next size down. I buy all my pants/shorts/jeans from Old Navy and have never been disappointed in the fit. I love everything I own from ON and I'm happy they haven't changed styles in the last year, so I'm able to buy the same item in a smaller size when they no longer fit. In July 2024, I was wearing a size 18/20 and I'm now down to a size 12. I've lost 62 lbs and have 30 more to go. Now I love how I look in my clothes as much as I love my ON clothes. 10/10, would recommend.
These shorts are advertised as being high waisted, and in smaller sizes, they very well might be. However, I ordered a size 20, the same as I would wear in multiple other brands, and these didn't even make it to my natural waist. The main reason I chose to give 2 stars is because the shorts fit my... backside amazingly well. They are a smidge shorter than I normally wear, but I was already expecting that. The problem is all in the waist. because they fastened at my navel, instead of higher, as I expected them to, they were a bit harder to GET fastened, not so snug as to have to force the zipper or lay on the bed, IYKYK, but enough leave me feeling like the Muffin Man had paid a visit. I'm going to give it another week and try them on again, but more likely than not, I'll be returning them. I wish more plus sizes were available in my local stores, even if just as samples to try on for size before placing an order...
