I'm a 16/18/XL and ordered the 18. I am curvy but didn't get the curvy fit and the pair I got fits great in the hips/bum. They fit tighter in the waist than expected but they're soo cute and fairly comfortable considering they have a button fly which I normally don't like. They're definitely shorter... than a 7" inseam though so if you need the extra length I'd look at some of the other shorts being offered. I do wish the rise was about 1/2" higher and the waist was just a tiny bit bigger, not even 1/4", but its acceptable as is. I've worn them a few times since my order came in and expect they'll get a lot of use this season. They're a nice thicker denim with a bit of stretch, and they don't bag out after being worn for a few hours!
Purchased these shorts because they do not offer a 7" length in the curvy style. These are horrible. There's over an inch of gapping in the back, I can comfortably fit a full sized can of hairspray in the gap. If anyone from Old Navy actually reads this; please make a 7" curvy style, our body styl...es also need the longer shorts. It's kind of insulting that you can get the regular style in up to a 9 inch length but the longest curvy style is 5".

I finally found Jean shorts of my dreams!!! They fit perfectly, very lightweight denim, and look expensive! They have a little bit of stretch too so they are comfortable!
