Purchasing a Gift Card

Gift cards can be purchased and redeemed online or by phone at gap.com, oldnavy.com, bananarepublic.com, piperlime.com and athleta.gap.com.

If you already have a gift card, it's easy to add value in stores.

If you order our gift card with other items, please note that it will ship separately. Shipping and handling charges are complimentary for standard delivery.

Redeeming a Gift Card

Redeeming a gift card is easy. Just shop and check out as you normally would. During Checkout you can then enter your gift card number into the gift card entry fields on the Billing Page or the Order Review page. You will need to enter both the 16-digit gift card number and the 4-digit PIN on the back of your gift card. When you click the "Apply" button, you will get a confirmation message indicating that the gift card has been applied to your order.

You may apply a maximum of 5 gift cards per order. To enter more than one gift card, enter the first gift card number and 4-digit PIN and click the "Apply" button. You will see a confirmation message that your gift card has been applied. Then enter your second gift card number and 4-digit PIN and click apply. You will see a confirmation message that your second gift card has been applied.

To redeem an Athleta gift certificate, merchandise credit, or coupon received before July 2009, please call 1-877-3ATHLETA (1-877-328-4538).

Checking the Balance on a Gift Card

You can check the balance on a gift card on the Billing Page in "Checkout" or in "Your Account". In both places, you will see a link to "Check Balance." You can then enter the 16-digit gift card number and the 4-digit PIN on the back of your card and click "Check Balance". Then, we immediately provide you with the balance on the gift card.

Gift Packaging

Select your gift packaging during checkout. Simply check "Include Gift Box" on the Gift Services page.

Items from Gap, Old Navy, Banana Republic and Athleta will be wrapped in the gift packaging option of the store you check out from. Piperlime items are not eligible for gift wrap, but are wrapped in tissue and delivered in a Piperlime box.

Gift Messages

Type your message in the box provided (limit 150 characters) to include a complimentary personal gift message with your order. We'll print your message on a special note card, insert it in an envelope, and send it with your gift. There is a limit of one gift message per order.

Old Navy Gift Packaging Options

Deluxe Gift Boxes, $3

Make a great gift even more stylish with our colorful gift boxes! They add a special touch whether you're giving your gift in person or having it sent directly to the recipient. Boxes arrive with the gifts inside. Select the gift box you want during Checkout.

   º Geometric Dot-Pattern features a multicolored medley of full and half polka dots.

   º Baby's gift box is decorated with a geometric pattern in soft pastel colors.

Please note that all items will arrive wrapped and boxed together when you select the gift box option. Sorry, gift boxes are not available for certain large, bulky items, like outerwear.

Gift Messages

Gift Receipts

If you indicate that your order is a gift, we will automatically include a gift receipt that lists the items, but not their prices.
